I'm sorry you're getting shit on at work. That's terrible, and really immature. Maybe the stress and worry about finances and everything is bringing out the worse in people?

I don't think pointing out when someone does wrong makes you a dick. You're just trying to stop something that shouldn't be happening, hopefully preventing someone else from getting screwed over like you did.

Are you going to try to leave early for basic training since you aren't working?

It's not the mundane activities themselves that cause the distance. It is the spirit in which they are taken care of. If they are taken care of as a jedi would take care of mundane duties then i don't see a problem. If it a situation in which they put down the mantle of jedi, then that is where i see the problem. Do the mundane in a jedi way.

Just because someone is focusing on the 'mundane' of life, it doesn't mean they are farther from their path. I believe that finding balance in life is the biggest challenge of our path, and therefor there will often be swings from one area to the other before settling into a fairly beneficial balance point.

I'm glad you've gotten your fitness standards met and a routine that works for you. It's easier to maintain once you are meeting the standards than it is to get to that point. :-)

Andy, I apologize for not leaving as many comments as I should. However, if you know the situation with my sister, I'm sure you understand. No question about it, you pass with flying colors, banners, champagne from the heavens, etc. lol.

I'm working on 102 now, as my computer crashed and I lost all the details, but please be patient. :) Thank you, Andy. I have enjoyed your posts.

I look forward to a new perspective! It is easier to do from the eastern perspective since it has a more solid lineage, but we need to know more about the western traditions as well. I can't wait to learn something new. :-)

Thankfully you were there! I'm constantly wondering why this stuff happens. Or worse, when you go to the people who are supposed to help and they don't take it seriously which is what happens to us. I take it you're going to complain to the school and the people responsible? Even if they try to pass it off, many will know inside that they really messed up. Hopefully they will do the right thing next time.
